I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
